Online Writing Groups - Winter 2026
Writing-Together Groups (register for any number, join any time)
The Winter 2026 "writing-together" groups will take place from January 20th - March 13th (Weeks 3-10). The "writing-together" groups last two hours. At the beginning of the session, graduate students introduce themselves and say on what writing project they are working and what specific writing goal they would like to accomplish during the session. Participants then quietly write for the designated time period. At the end of the session, participants come back together and quickly report on what they did during the session. At the discretion of the facilitator, writing time may be further divided into 25-minute sessions (pomodoro technique) or another break structure.

Sustaining Progress: Graduate Writing Workshop Series for Master's/Qualifying Projects
This four-week workshop series is open to all graduate students working consistently on a master's project (thesis/capstone) or qualifying paper. The series is designed to support students through accountability, community, and sustained progress over the course of four weeks. Sessions will run for two hours on Thursday afternoons.
Each session will provide structured time to focus on your writing goals, check in with peers, share progress and challenges, and receive encouragement and support throughout your writing process. Participants will have the option to meet individually with the graduate writing consultant facilitating the session via Zoom breakout rooms, for personalized feedback and support. To build continuity and maximize community support, participants are encouraged to attend as many sessions as they can.
This workshop series will run Thursdays, 3:00-5:00 PM
